Henry “Hank” Howard Frieler, 80, of St. Michael, formerly of Osseo, passed away Sept. 6, 2022, at North Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

A service was  Sept. 16 at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. 

 Henry was born at home in New Munich, March 14, 1942, to Edwin and Monica (Wensman) Frieler. Hank honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Dianne B. Kuklok June 24, 1967, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. God blessed their marriage with five children. Hank was employed for many years as a welder, working for Mereen Johnson and Five Star Welding. 

Hank enjoyed teasing the grandchildren, playing cards and fishing. He was also a huge Green Bay Packer and Twins fan.  

Left to cherish in his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Dianne; children Annette (Michael) Kostreba of St. Joseph, Dean Frieler (Jenell O’Brien) of Buffalo, Kristy Laufenberg (John Radford) of Wayzata, Chad Frieler of St. Michael, and Ryan (Julie) Frieler of New Brighton; grandchildren Alyssa Anderson, Cortney and Callie Kostreba, Andrew and Noah Frieler, Hunter and Taylor Robarge, Mason Laufenberg, Ethan, Nolan and Paxton Frieler; siblings Arlene Desombre, Carol Pemberton, Virginia (John) Nathe, William (Betty) Frieler, Sandra (Allen) Jostock and Kevin (Patricia) Frieler; and stepmother-in-law June Kuklok. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Joan Hoppe; brothers-in-law Edmund Hoppe, Loren Pemberton and David Dombrovski; infant brothers Tim and Tom; and in-laws Cyril and Bridgette Kuklok.
